I think anyone looking for an uncomfortably invasive introspective journey should consider buying and restoring one of these: a 1980 ComutaCar up for auction on eBay RIGHT NOW.

Look, you don’t need to do this. But you SHOULD do this. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to snub your nose at the imaginary people you think are holding you back. Also, we would become best friends, and I would come over with my tools and my “rock n’ roll” music and really teach you how this car works. You know, I could be a real father figure to you. Wouldn’t that be nice? Mmm.

On a serious note, I know that 7245 Alltrax controller they’re selling with it is a $500 value, even used. You know how I know that? BECAUSE I BOUGHT ONE. So if it comes down to it, I may need someone to go all American Pickers with me and go half to win this auction.
